Funky Golf Strides

William Hunt Golf

I’m a great believer in the saying, “look the part, play the part”. In an effort to elevate my golfing attire beyond the chino and pique, polo shirt brigade, I decided to invest in a ‘purpose-built’, pair of trousers.

I went for a sensible pair of Stromberg Golf Quinta Funky Prince of Wales Check Trousers.  The PoW check is from the Stromberg, ’Classic Collection’, but there are definitely some even funkier ones, I’ve got my eye on for the future e.g. Villa Sol – Blue/Navy Check.

For anybody else who ‘dares’ to be different here are some trendy, golf clothing sites I’ve come across, which might provide the lifestyle, savvy golfer with some inspiration for course couture.

Function18 - Stromberg, Galvin Green, William Hunt, Ian Poulter Collection.

Golf Poser - Cross Sportswear, Bunker Mentality.

Trendy Golf - J.Lindeberg, Penguin

Bunker Mentality

SubSeventy

PAHR Fairway Essentials

Froghair

Ian Poulter Design

Funky Golf Gear

Tattoo Golf

Funk’d Golf (accessories)

If anyone else has found interesting links to dress the discerning golfer, let me know and I’ll include them in the above.

Hey guys, awesome site. Just wondering if you had seen Sligo stuff before. Saw it at the PGA show and met with Brian Gay (who they sponsor). Some sweet swag, thought of your site immediately. Cheers! Wil.

In a recent issue of Golf Week (“for Her” this time) they featured clothes from Quamire. Really cool stuff for stylish golf clothes!

HI… I am a new golfer and as you know the best time to play golf is in the spring, summer and fall and that would mean two kinds of weather.

Finding what to wear so you stay within the means of dress code is not easy if you like trendy clothes! YES there are tons of very expensive ugly wear for golf out there ‘TONS!’ Di I mention UGLY!

Everytime I do find something I like it is either a size 16 or it is a color that is going to boil you to death, why would you wear black in weather you can fry an egg in…WHY? The range of colors are beyond limited! I feel like designing my own brand but that is just outlandish just because I can’t find a store that has afforable trendy clothes!

So please advise me where can I go to shop to find great, fun, trendy golf clothes for women? I will love you if you can tell me….lol

I live in Canada, BC but travel so don’t stint on areas for locations.

Par to none there has to be somewhere out there!!!

Jonica made a statement ” I feel like designing my own brand but that is just outlandish just because I can’t find a store that has afforable trendy clothes! ” Just wondering why you think it is outlandish. I read a story in Entrepeneur website the other day about a seventeen year old American girl who started off selling her surplus clothes from her wardrobe and now runs a $50 million clothing business. Where there is a will my dear !!
