Compression socks have made their way from inflight protection, via the running track to Golf. Zensah sells a range of Argyle Compression Socks that provides Golfers with improved circulation on those long rounds of Golf. There are 6 designs in the range which carry a retail price of $49.99.
This is what PGA Professional Golfer, George Howard had to say about Zensah, Golf Compression Socks, after a few rounds of Golf -
The first impression of the socks are great looks and feel wise. The Argyle has a distinctive 3 colour pattern (mine are white, electric blue and light blue). The sock is thick enough to keep the foot warm when cold but also breathable when hot due to the moisture wicking fabric . When I first put the sock on it had an instantly different feeling to a standard sock. As you lift your foot from the floor it compresses your foot and then expands back when you place your foot back down. This sounds uncomfortable but after a few steps you completely forget about this. With the socks also reaching just below the knee the calf muscle is also compressed and as science has shown, compression is the way forward during training and also in the game. Having now been using the socks as much as possible for almost 2 months the socks are showing no signs of wear and tear or fading or shrinking from washing. These are clearly a well manufactured product and you can feel the science in them the moment you put them on. I am looking forward to using these socks in physical training, practice and playing golf for many more months and would strongly recommend buying a pair and trying for yourself.
The Socks are also recommended for runners and cyclists but for Golf where margins of victory can be very small, decreased recovery time between rounds could make all the difference.
