I’ll Never Be Tiger Woods
3 comments • Trackback
I’ve been playing golf now for about 7 months. I decided to take up the game because I felt I wasn’t too old to become reasonably good and I wanted a pastime that I could take with me into old age. Over the years I have missed out on countless golf related opportunities , both professionally and in my private life and it just seemed silly to carry on like this.
It’s probably fair to say that I’ve now caught the golfing bug, but it’s also an understatement to say that the game, ‘ain’t as easy as it looks’ - man is it frustrating! Anyway I hope to use this site to chronicle my journey from a complete novice to a competitive golf player - whatever that is.
As well as my own progress I hope to include golfing articles, resources and links, for like-minded beginners. I would also welcome input from more experienced golf players to pass on any pearls of wisdom. It may be too late for me to become a Tiger Woods but I want to be the best I can.

Got something to say?

Hi Artful Golfer, thanks for the feedback and I’m glad you like it. I looked at your stats and to shoot a 71 within 2 years is some going - I’d be very happy with that!!
Thanks! I’m fortunate to work flexible hours and have gone from playing once a week in my first year to 2-3 times a week since. That’s been a big factor in my quick improvement.
Just found your blog. I’ve been hooked 21 months now and I’ve blogged my experiences along the way. I’m looking forward to catching up on your blog and checking in regularly. Best of luck to you!
